Mission

Biometrics is published quarterly in print and electronic form.  The journal is a publication of the International Biometric Society, an international society promoting the development and application of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in the biosciences, including agriculture, biomedical science and public health, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry, and allied disciplines.  The general objective of Biometrics is to promote the use of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in these areas through articles describing the development of novel biometrical techniques and their application to new and ongoing subject-matter challenges. A centerpiece of most Biometrics articles is a scientific application that sets scientific or policy objectives, motivates methods development and demonstrates their operation.
